Hey man, I get where you're coming from, wanting to upgrade that WRX suspension on a budget. Everyone's suggesting alternatives and they're not wrong, BUT... since you're talking about track days, I kinda wanna throw a slightly different wrench in the works – safety and reliability.

While finding a Black Friday deal is tempting, especially on NAADAM, which is generally good stuff, consider *why* you're upgrading. You mentioned track days, and honestly, that raises the stakes significantly compared to just dealing with Chicago potholes. A 'deal' on suspension might mean you're compromising on quality or, more importantly, on proper installation.

Instead of *just* chasing the NAADAM name or a specific coilover kit, have you factored in a professional alignment *after* the install? A good alignment is crucial, especially for track use. You're looking at another $150-$300 easily for that, and it's non-negotiable. Plus, are you comfortable installing the suspension yourself? If not, labor costs are another chunk of change. Think realistically, a 'cheap' suspension that's poorly aligned or installed can be downright dangerous on the track.

Personally, when I did my suspension on my old Integra (not a WRX, but same principle), I actually *budgeted more* for the installation and alignment than I did for the suspension components themselves. I went with a slightly less 'sexy' brand (Tein, around $800 at the time), but I knew the shop I took it to was top-notch, and they spent hours dialing it in. It was the best money I ever spent on that car.

So, while you wait to see if NAADAM does have a sale, maybe get some quotes from reputable local shops for installation and alignment. That'll give you a clearer picture of the *total* cost and might influence your decision on which brand to go with. Don't compromise on safety just to save a few bucks upfront; it's just not worth it in the long run. Good luck with the upgrade!

Hey man, I totally get the NAADAM lust. Their marketing is on point! But honestly, after the experiences I've had, I'm not sure waiting for a potentially non-existent sale is worth it. Let me tell you why.

I actually bit the bullet and bought a NAADAM rear sway bar for my older WRX a few years back, hoping for that track-day performance everyone raves about. Unfortunately, I had issues with the finish chipping way too easily after just one winter, and honestly, the performance wasn't *that* much better than the Whiteline bar I had before. Paid like $350 for it back then.

For your budget, especially since you're dealing with Chicago winters (hello potholes and salt!), I'd honestly consider a Bilstein B8 shock/spring combo instead of coilovers right now. You'll get a significant improvement in handling and ride quality, plus they're built like tanks and can handle the abuse of daily driving better than some of the more 'race-focused' coilover options. You can usually snag a set for around $800-$1000, leaving you some budget for install or other needed maintenance. This is super important as we gear up for winter driving season!

Another option, if you're dead-set on coilovers, is to look at Tein Flex Z's. They're not quite NAADAM level, but they're a solid mid-range coilover that offers adjustable ride height and dampening, and they're usually priced around $1100-$1300. Keep an eye on MAPerformance; they often have sales. I put a set on my buddy's Evo and he loves them.

Just my two cents based on my own experience. Good luck with the upgrade! Let us know what you decide.

Hey man, I feel your pain on the suspension hunt for the WRX. 2015 is a sweet spot! Instead of holding your breath for a NAADAM sale that *might* not happen, let's talk about getting the most bang for your buck *now*.

Honestly, for a street/light track setup, consider looking at the Feal 441+ coilovers. I ran those on my '11 WRX for years (around 60k miles!), including a few track days, and they were fantastic for the price. You're looking at around $1400 new, but I've seen used sets in great shape go for $900-$1100 on the forums. They're rebuildable too, which is a huge plus for longevity, especially with Chicago roads. I initially considered NAADAM myself, but the Feals gave me 90% of the performance at a much friendlier price point.

My buddy with a 2016 WRX actually went with BC Racing coilovers and has been happy with them for daily driving, but he hasn't tracked it much. Those are usually even cheaper, around $1100 new. It really depends on your needs and how often you'll be pushing it on the track.

Good luck with the upgrade! Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm happy to share what I've learned over the years.

Hey! I hear you on wanting that NAADAM suspension, they're pretty sweet! While waiting for a sale *might* pay off, have you considered looking at other options that could be a better fit for your budget *and* your planned track days? Something like the Feal 441+ coilovers could be a solid alternative. Last time I checked, they were around $1600 new, but I've seen used sets in good condition for around $1000-$1200 – keep an eye on the forums!

Also, before you jump on any coilovers, especially with 85k miles on your WRX, I'd *highly* recommend getting your suspension bushings checked out. Worn bushings can totally negate the benefits of new coilovers and even make handling worse. A full bushing refresh can add a few hundred bucks to the cost, but it's worth it for proper handling, especially if you plan on tracking it. I'm happy to share some resources on identifying worn bushings if you'd like!

Honestly, instead of *specifically* waiting on NAADAM (they're kinda tight-lipped about sales!), have you considered looking at Racecomp Engineering (RCE)? I snagged their Yellow springs for around $350 a few years back, paired them with some Koni inserts (another $600-ish), and the difference was AMAZING. Handled track days like a champ and was way more comfortable on Chicago's awful roads than stock. Might be a solid alternative if NAADAM doesn't play ball with the Black Friday deals. I'm happy to dig up the exact part numbers if you're interested! Good luck!
