> Plus I have weirdly wide feet so if I wait too long my size is always the first to go out of stock ^ This. Also, honestly, the big sales at major retailers have been pretty disappointing lately. I remember when you could snag 40 percent off easily, but now they just mark up the MSRP and call a tiny discount a deal. I had a nightmare last year waiting for wide trainers and by the time Black Friday actually rolled around, everything in my size was long gone. It was such a letdown. If you're trying to stay under 110, look at the Brooks Ghost 15 Wide. Since you're already in Brooks, these usually get heavily discounted once newer versions drop. Another solid bet for wide feet on a budget is the ASICS GT-2000 12 Wide. I've found that sites like Road Runner Sports often have better VIP early access prices than the actual holiday sales. Dont wait for the Friday madness, it usually just ends in heartbreak for us wide-foot folks...

> if I wait too long my size is always the first to go out of stock Late to the party but look at Saucony Triumph 21 Wide at sites like Sierra. They usually dump last years stock around October or early November. For wide sizes, waiting for the actual Black Friday is a gamble that rarely pays off. If you find them for under 100 bucks in early November, just pull the trigger. The risk of losing your size is bigger than any tiny extra savings later on.

So I'm already looking ahead to the 2026 holiday season because I'm planning to run the Boston Marathon in 2027 and I know I'm gonna burn through at least two pairs of shoes during that training block starting that winter. My current Brooks are basically racing flats at this point because the tread is so worn down lol and I really dont want to pay full price for some New Balance 1080s or Saucony Triumphs if I can avoid it. I've been poking around online trying to figure out when the "real" sales start because its always so confusing every year.

One thread on Reddit said that Dicks Sporting Goods usually kicks off their "pre-black friday" stuff like the first week of November but then I saw a post on a running blog saying that the big brands like Hoka or Brooks actually have better private sales for "members" on their own sites way earlier than the big box stores. I'm just kinda stuck because I dont know if those early November deals are actually the bottom price or if I'm gonna feel like an idiot if the price drops another forty bucks on the actual Friday.

Plus I have weirdly wide feet so if I wait too long my size is always the first to go out of stock which happened to me last year and I ended up paying retail like a sucker. My budget is pretty tight since I'm also saving up for travel and race fees so I'm really trying to find that sweet spot where I get the discount but before the inventory gets wiped out. I'm trying to stay under like 110 bucks per pair if possible.

I'm mostly looking for daily trainers that can handle high mileage since I'll be doing like 40-50 miles a week. Does anyone know if there are specific sites that leak the 2026 shoe deals early or which stores historically have the best "early bird" discounts for runners specifically? Or am I just overthinking this and should I just bite the bullet as soon as I see 20 percent off...
