I've been tracking these for a bit and honestly, the DIY side of things is where you really save or lose money. Getting a killer deal on an LG is great but you gotta be careful with the actual setup. I've seen too many people ruin their machines because they rushed the install. I've fixed enough of my own gear to know that a cheap price becomes expensive real fast if you hit these common snags:

Do not forget the transit bolts. Sounds basic but people forget them all the time and it will literally destroy the drum the first time it tries to spin.

Check your floor level and then check it again. These high-efficiency units spin so fast that if they aren't perfectly level, they'll dance right across the floor and rip the hoses out.

Watch the drain hose height. If your standpipe is too low, it'll siphon water out constantly and throw error codes that look like a major mechanical failure when it's actually just gravity. Just some stuff to keep in mind while you're shopping around.

Honestly, instead of chasing Black Friday, check out scratch-and-dent sales at local appliance stores. I got a Maytag set for $800 that way a few years back; tiny dent, works perfectly. LG's deals are okay, but sometimes you get more for your money elsewhere if you're not picky about cosmetics.
