Honestly, you gotta be ready right at midnight Eastern Time on that Friday the 20th. I remember staying up for the 2024 sale and the prices flipped exactly at 12:00 AM. Since you are out in rural Ontario, I totally get the anxiety about shipping. I used to live near a tiny town past Bancroft and if I didnt click buy immediately, stuff would sit in a warehouse for weeks. I have been really happy with my setup lately and sticking to the big brands is usually the safest bet for home office gear. Last year I compared the Dell UltraSharp U3223QE 32-inch 4K Hub Monitor against the LG 32UN880-B 32-inch UltraFine Ergo 4K Monitor and honestly both are great, but the Dell is just rock solid. The LG has that cool arm mount which saves desk space, but the Dell has way more ports for charging your laptop, which works perfectly for my workflow. No complaints at all with the color accuracy either. For the laptop, dont settle for 8gb. I snagged the Apple MacBook Air M3 13.6-inch 16GB RAM 512GB SSD a while back and it handles everything without breaking a sweat. If the budget gets tight, I'd personally drop the smart lights before compromising on the chair or the ram. A good chair makes a massive difference when you are pulling long shifts. Just set that alarm for 11:55 PM on the 19th so you are logged in and ready... it saves so much stress.

Look, I've been doing the Amazon Black Friday dance for over a decade and the one thing I've learned is that waiting for the actual Friday is a recipe for disappointment. In my experience, Amazon Canada starts their main event on the Friday before. For 2026, you should be ready on November 20th at exactly 3:00 AM EST (which is midnight PST). That is when the real inventory drops. Here is how you need to play this if you are serious:

The Black Friday Week is no longer just a lead-up. Most of the top-tier stock for stuff like the Apple MacBook Air M3 13-inch 16GB RAM 512GB SSD will hit its lowest price during that first weekend. If you wait until the 27th, you'll be looking at Out of Stock or third-party sellers gouging prices.

Set your alarm for 2:45 AM EST. Amazon usually flips the switch right at 12:00 AM Pacific because they sync with their Seattle headquarters.

For that monitor, keep an eye on the LG 32UP83A-W 32-Inch UHD Monitor or the Dell S3221QS 32-inch 4K Curved Monitor. I've seen these hit the $450-$550 range early in the week and then vanish. Living in rural Ontario, you definitely want to buy the second it goes live. Shipping times spiral fast once the volume hits. Tbh, if you see the Macbook at a price you can live with on the 20th, just pull the trigger. Savings rarely get better on the actual Friday and the risk of losing the 16gb models is too high. Dont wait around for a better deal that wont come.

Im honestly spiraling a bit trying to figure out the exact timing for the 2026 Black Friday stuff on Amazon Canada because I cannot afford to miss out this time. I have this new contract starting in January and I need a full home office refresh before then or Im gonna be working off a tiny laptop screen in my kitchen which is just not gonna work. I tried looking it up and some tech blogs say the official date is November 27th but then I read on a forum that Amazon usually starts their Black Friday Week on the Friday before? So like November 20th? It is so confusing because then there is the whole Early Access thing for Prime members and I dont know if the real deals save the best prices for the actual Friday or if they just dump everything early and by the 27th everything good is already sold out.

I live out in a more rural part of Ontario and shipping is already a nightmare around the holidays so I need to get my order in the second it goes live or I wont see it until February. My last experience was awful because I waited until Friday morning and the monitor I wanted was already gone.

Heres what I am looking to grab if I can find the deals:

A 32 inch 4k monitor (really hoping for a Dell or LG one under $600)

A proper ergonomic chair because my back is killing me

A new Macbook Air with at least 16gb ram

Maybe some smart lighting for the desk

My total budget is around $2500 but if the Macbook price doesnt drop enough I might have to skip the chair which would suck. Does anyone know the actual minute it starts for us in Canada? Like is it midnight Eastern time or do we have to wait for the West Coast to catch up? I just need to know exactly when to set my alarm so I can be refreshed and ready to click buy before the bots take everything...
