Technically, the safer “value” move is: stay free until late Nov, then go monthly first so you don’t get trapped in a full-price annual right before a surprise discount. If a deal appears, you can upgrade to yearly at the discounted rate; if not, you only paid a month while you test how hard you actually hit the message limits. That’s what I did and I’m pretty happy with the cost vs usage so far.
