I've been building rigs for years and honestly, I'm pretty satisfied with how the mid-range market usually settles after the first year. If you can wait until late 2026, you will definitely see some price movement once the initial hype dies down and retailers want to clear shelf space.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7: This is likely your best bet. It should easily fit under your 800 budget by then and handle those Blender renders with no complaints.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB GDDR6X: If the 50-series is still too expensive, these will be on massive clearance. They work well for maxed out Cyberpunk and heavy rendering tasks.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7: This is the dream card but Nvidia pricing is always tough. 800 bucks might still be a stretch for the 80-class even on sale. Dont stress too much, you will definitely find a killer deal by then. Let me know if you need more help with the specs.

Honestly im so fed up with these gpu prices right now my old 2070 super is literally on its last legs the fans are making this horrific grinding noise and it keeps crashing whenever i try to play anything more demanding than stardew valley. i was gonna upgrade to a 4080 last year but the prices were just insulting so i figured id wait for the 50-series and now im just staring at my bank account feeling totally anxious that i still wont be able to afford a decent card.

My budget is strictly 800 bucks for the gpu and i really need it for my rendering work in blender plus i want to finally play cyberpunk at max settings without it looking like a slideshow. i live in a small town in ohio so i have to buy everything online and shipping prices are always a mess too. if i hold out all the way until cyber monday 2026 do we actually think the prices will drop significantly or is nvidia just gonna keep them sky high forever like they did with the 40-series launch. i feel like i keep waiting and waiting and the market just keeps getting worse for us normal people who arent made of money. is it even realistic to hope for a big sale on a 5080 or something similar by then or am i just setting myself up for more disappointment...
