Has anyone heard about CarGurus Cyber Monday sales for 2025? I'm wondering if the platform will offer any special promotions or dealer incentives this December 1st. Cyber Monday 2025 takes place on Monday, December 1, and I've seen year-end lease deals and cash-back offers currently available on their site. With Cyber Monday sales reached $13.3 billion in 2024 showing how popular online shopping has become, I'm hoping CarGurus might feature additional dealer discounts or financing deals. Any insights from previous years would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, CarGurus doesnt really do big platform-wide sales for Cyber Monday like a retail store would. Since they're just a middleman, you're basically at the mercy of what individual dealers decide to do. I spent weeks stalking the site last December thinking I'd snag some crazy dealer discount but it was pretty disappointing.

  • Most of the deals were just the same prices I saw in November with a new tag.
  • I had issues with dealers claiming prices were lower when they actually just moved the fees around.
  • The cash-back offers were mostly from the manufacturers, not special site-wide promotions. It was definitely not as good as expected, ngl. I felt like I wasted a lot of time refreshing pages for nothing. Just to clarify what you're hoping for:
  • What kind of car are you actually targeting, like a specific model or just any SUV?
  • Are you looking for a lease or a straight purchase?

Regarding what #1 said about "Unfortunately, CarGurus doesnt really do big platform-wide sales..." - he's pretty much on the money. The platform is an aggregator, so there isnt a central sale button for them to press. Dealers use automated inventory management tools that focus on floor plan interest and local supply-demand metrics. I would suggest being careful about waiting for Dec 1 specifically. To provide a more technical outlook, what specific vehicle class or price range are you analyzing? Are you prioritizing a specific financing rate, or is the total out-the-door price your main metric? Also, what specific model year range are you looking at... newer stock follows different incentive patterns than older used units.
