Are there any Black Friday deals on RX 9070 XT GPUs?

I’m planning to upgrade my GPU this Black Friday and have my eye on the RX 9070 XT, but I’m not sure what kind of deals to realistically expect. I’ve seen some small discounts on other RX 9000‑series cards in past sales, but nothing specifically on the 9070 XT yet. I’m mainly gaming at 1440p and don’t really want to drop full MSRP if big cuts are coming. Has anyone spotted confirmed or leaked Black Friday deals on RX 9070 XT GPUs (retailers, expected price ranges, bundles, etc.) or have experience with how much these typically get discounted during big sales?

Hey,

Short answer: I wouldn’t count on massive Black Friday cuts on the RX 9070 XT itself, but you can probably snag a *decent* deal if you’re a bit flexible.

So, my experience: I upgraded last year around Black Friday (different card, but same "new-ish gen, popular GPU" situation). I kept refreshing every major retailer for weeks (Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, Micro Center) and what I actually saw was:

- New hot cards: usually like 5–10% off at best
- Older or less-hyped models: 15–20%, sometimes with game bundles or gift cards

I think the 9070 XT is still "too fresh" to get a crazy drop. What you’ll more likely see is:

- Small price dip (like $30–$70 off MSRP)
- Better AIB models (cooler/quiet ones) going on sale instead of the absolute cheapest SKU
- Occasional bundle (free game or rebate) that makes it *feel* like a better deal

If you’re at 1440p, I’d personally:

1. Set a hard target price in your head (like “I’ll buy at $X if it drops there”).
2. Track a few specific models now so you know what’s *actually* a discount later.
3. Be ready to pull the trigger early in the week of Black Friday – some of the better GPU deals don’t last until the actual day.

I’ve been happy doing that the last few years: not insane savings, but enough that I didn’t feel like I paid full launch hype tax.

Hope this helps! If you share your region and current prices you’re seeing, people can probably say if a BF deal is worth waiting for or not.

Honestly, I’d *plan* around maybe 5–10% off the RX 9070 XT at best, plus a game bundle, rather than a huge price drop. Newish high‑end GPUs just don’t get slashed. If you’re mainly on 1440p, I’d absolutely keep an eye on RX 9060 XT / non‑XT 9070 instead – those are way more likely to see 15–20% dips and still push high FPS at that resolution. Tech‑wise, the 9070 XT’s overkill for most 1440p unless you’re chasing 240 Hz with max settings + RT, so from a pure price/perf angle I’d wait for: 1) AIB models with mail‑in rebates, 2) bundle deals (free game, PSU, or SSD), 3) open‑box / refurbished units. If none of that shows up, I’d either grab a discounted 9060 XT or just hold off a generation rather than paying full MSRP on a 9070 XT right now.

If you’re cost‑conscious, I’d actually set a *hard* target instead of chasing vague “BF deals”: decide your max (e.g. 10% under MSRP) and only buy if (1) card hits that, or (2) a cheaper RX 9000 card + minor settings tweaks gives you ~90–95% of the 1440p performance for noticeably less. In my experience, new high‑end GPUs rarely drop big on Black Friday, but older tiers quietly get very good value, so keep a close eye on last‑gen and lower‑tier 9000‑series and don’t be afraid to walk away if the 9070 XT isn’t meaningfully discounted.

Hey, one angle I don’t see mentioned yet is the safety / reliability side of chasing Black Friday GPU deals.

Background: When new-ish cards like the RX 9070 XT go on promo, retailers sometimes offload open-box, returns, or cards from less reliable brands/boards. On paper it’s the “same GPU,” but the actual board design, VRM quality, and cooling matter a lot for a power‑hungry card.

Why it matters: the 9070 XT (if it’s anything like other high-end RDNA cards) is gonna pull serious power under load. Cheap coolers, weak VRMs, or sketchy PSUs can mean coil whine, thermal throttling, or in the worst case, blown connectors. I’ve seen people grab a “killer BF deal” only to fight crashes or weird artifacts a month later.

What I’d suggest:
- **Prioritize tier‑A board partners** over the absolute lowest price (Sapphire, PowerColor high-end models, etc.).
- **Check PSU requirements** and 12V rail amperage; don’t just trust “650W min” marketing.
- **Avoid no‑name sellers/marketplaces** for BF; stick to major retailers with solid RMA.
- **Inspect warranty terms** – some BF/clearance deals have reduced coverage.

So yeah, I’d take a slightly smaller discount on a well‑built 9070 XT + good return policy over a sketchy “huge” deal any day. Your 1440p setup will thank you long term.

Hope this helps!

From what I’m seeing in channel data, you’ll *probably* see the best RX 9070 XT Black Friday moves from ASRock and PowerColor (aggressive pricing, mail‑in rebates), with Sapphire and MSI sticking closer to MSRP but maybe tossing in games or store gift cards instead; if you’re hunting a real discount rather than a bundle, I’d watch ASRock/PowerColor SKUs at Amazon/Newegg and big-box “doorbuster” listings and be ready to jump on anything ~5–10% under MSRP plus a small rebate, because the premium brands rarely drop harder on a fresh high‑end chip.
