im sorry if this is a dumb question but i am totally new to this and i have no idea where to start. i just got married and i really want to get some nice prints and a big album but the prices at mpix seem kind of high for what i can afford right now. my photographer said they are the best but i am worried about spending too much money. i am trying to plan way ahead for next year because i need to save up.
does mpix usually do a big site-wide sale for black friday? i am looking at the 2026 dates and trying to figure out if i should wait until then to buy everything at once. i have some specific things i need:
- a large leather wedding album for my husband
- at least five 8x10 prints for our parents
- some kind of wall art for our living room
- my total budget is only about 250 dollars
i dont know if they only do sales on certain things like holiday cards or if i can get a discount on the expensive albums too. if they dont do a big sale then i might need to look somewhere cheaper but i really want the good quality my photographer talked about. has anyone here used them for black friday before? i am just so stressed about missing a coupon or something and then not being able to afford my wedding photos...

honestly, you are smart to plan for Black Friday because Mpix is famous for doing 40 percent or 50 percent off site-wide. i have used them for a decade and i am always happy with the technical consistency. last time i ordered, i picked up a Mpix Signature Photo Album 10x10 Genuine Leather with 20 pages. the heavy-weight 1.1mm pages felt great and the lamination worked well for protection. for your 250 dollar budget, definitely wait for that big site-wide discount. it usually covers everything from the luxury items down to basic prints. i once grabbed a Mpix Acrylic Wall Art 16x20 1/4 inch thickness and five Mpix E-Surface Paper 8x10 Prints for a total that stayed well under my limit. i have always been satisfied with how their sRGB profiles translate to the final product... just keep an eye out starting the monday before thanksgiving.

Yeah they definitely do site-wide stuff, tho the deep 50% cuts often exclude the high-end leather. I remember trying to squeeze a wedding project into a similar budget and the page count was what killed me.
- How many photos are you actually trying to fit in the album?
- Are you stuck on the leather or would you look at hardcovers? Just curious because the base price fluctuates a lot based on the specific paper tech you pick.
