> Instead of Etnies, check out Vans slip-ons. Cheaper, and great pedal feel. ^ This. Also, I just saw this thread and wanted to add that if you cant find a code, you might want to consider looking at other brands that offer more protection. Im still a beginner so I'm always a bit cautious about safety and making sure my feet are actually supported. Basically, the thread so far recommends Sparco for grip and Vans for the lower price point. Comparing a couple other brands I've looked at:

  • DC Shoes Court Graffik: These have tons of padding which feels a lot safer for your ankles, but theyre definitely bulkier than most Etnies.
  • Emerica The Reynolds Low Vulc: These are lower profile and have decent grip, tho they might not have as much impact cushion as the DCs. Make sure to check the sizing charts really carefully before you buy anything online. I've found that different brands fit totally differently and you dont want to be stuck with something that hurts your feet... let me know if you need more help looking!

Honestly, it drives me crazy how these companies make us jump through hoops just to get a basic discount. Finding a working code for etnies or literally any brand these days is a total nightmare because most sites just host expired junk to get clicks. Its such a scam that prices keep going up while the quality seems to be heading the other way... anyway, a few things I do to try and beat the system:

  • Search for the pro or team pages on the site, sometimes they hide discount info there for local riders
  • Use browser extensions like Honey or Rakuten but be careful, they dont always have the best rates and sometimes mess up your checkout flow
  • Sign up for the newsletter with a burner email then immediately unsubscribe so they dont spam you
  • Check the clearance section directly instead of the main page, usually the codes dont work on sale stuff anyway You really gotta be careful with those random coupon blogs, half of them are just phishing for data at this point. I would suggest just sticking to the official sale sections or waiting for a major holiday sale because chasing these codes is mostly a waste of time.

Unfortunately, Etnies wore out quickly for me. Try Sparco; better grip, $120.

Haven't seen Etnies codes lately. For pedal feel, Five Ten Freeriders are decent; stiffer sole improves control. Worth considering if you're after performance.

Instead of Etnies, check out Vans Ward. Usually cheaper at around $50 and last just as long for driving, in my experience.

Instead of Etnies, check out Vans slip-ons. Cheaper, and great pedal feel. I’ve used them for years!
