I'm in the market for a new pair of shoes for my upcoming trip and I've been eyeing Allbirds for a while now. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday just around the corner, I was wondering if anyone has any information on potential sales or discounts from Allbirds. Have they offered significant discounts on their shoes in previous years? Are there any specific styles or colors that tend to go on sale?

honestly their bfcm stuff is usually pretty solid if you look at the technical specs vs the price drop. last time i checked they were doing up to 50% off on specific colorways. if you want the best bang for your buck i suggest:
- checking the rerun site for refurbished pairs, basically same tech for way less cash
- looking for the Allbirds Tree Dasher 2 in seasonal colors, the dual-density sugarcane midsole holds up great for the price and the geometry works well for long walks
- the Allbirds Wool Runners often hit the 70 dollar mark during cyber monday which is a steal for zq merino wool
- stick to the tree material if you want better breathability for travel, the tensile strength of the eucalyptus fiber is impressive and it dries fast if you get caught in rain i have been very happy with how the longevity stacks up against the cost during sales. no complaints on the build quality for the discounted price points.

Regarding what #2 said about honestly their bfcm stuff is usually pretty solid... i have to agree, though i have been pretty disappointed with the durability on the standard wool lines lately. the tech just feels a bit dated for the price tag, unfortunately. if you are hunting for travel shoes that actually hold up, the sale is basically the only time it makes sense to pull the trigger. here are some technical specs worth looking for when the prices drop:
- Allbirds Tree Flyers SwiftFoam which has way better energy return than the dashers. usually hits around $90-100 on cyber monday and the bio-based foam is actually impressive.
- Allbirds Trail Runners SWT if you need a lugged outsole for traction. the sugarcane midsole is a bit firm but the natural rubber grip is actually decent for light hiking.
- Allbirds Tree Pipers for a lower profile vibe, tho the arch support is kinda mid tbh. definitely stick to the seasonal colors like the neon greens or weird purples to get the 40-50% off. the core black and white colors rarely drop more than 15% and they just arent worth the premium in my opinion.
