Ive been staring at this one Max Mara wool coat for months now and Im honestly so over the price games these luxury sites play. Im based in Chicago and winter is already hitting hard so I really need to pull the trigger soon but my budget is capped at $1,200 which is still a lot of money for me to drop all at once. I spent all morning yesterday looking through old threads and some fashion blogs and honestly nobody seems to agree on the timing for the 2026 sales. One site said that high-end retailers like SSENSE or Net-a-Porter usually do their deepest cuts on Black Friday to clear stock but then another blog was saying that the real designer deals move to Cyber Monday now because they want to keep the in-store foot traffic for the cheaper mass-market brands.
Its so frustrating and Im worried if I wait until Monday the size I need will be totally sold out but if I buy Friday I might miss an extra 15 percent off code or something. I really dont want to mess this up since Ive been saving for over a year for this. Is there actually a pattern for these designer labels or is it just a total gamble every year? Like do the high-end coats actually get cheaper on Cyber Monday or is that just for tech and gadgets...

TL;DR: Friday. I bought my Max Mara Rialto Camel Hair Coat then and im happy with the zibeline specs. Monday's extra discount wont matter if the stock hits zero.

Building on the earlier suggestion, Friday is definitely the winner here since everyone is warning about stock levels! I totally obsessed over my Max Mara Studio Mango Virgin Wool Coat last year and snagged it Friday morning. It felt so amazing to finally have it! Honestly, saving an extra few bucks on Monday isnt worth the heartbreak of it selling out. Just pull the trigger early!
