Any good deals or sales on holiday cards, art prints, and personalized gifts at Minted?
Just found this thread! If you're looking to maximize those sales with a DIY approach, you gotta get technical with your files first. I do this every year and the results are amazing if you follow the specs!

Regarding what #6 said about "Just found this thread! If you're looking to..." - man, you are preaching to the choir! I've been archiving our family cards for over a decade and the technical prep is the only thing that keeps me sane. But tbh, it's getting so exhausting. Honestly its ridiculous how much Minted has hiked their prices while the actual QC feels like a total coin toss lately! It drives me crazy that I can spend hours perfecting my sRGB exports and checking every single pixel at 300 DPI just for the final product to come back with weird color shifts. It's such a scam that we pay these premium prices and still have to worry if the machines were even calibrated that morning! I love the designs, I really do, but the price-to-quality ratio is just falling apart. I remember when the signature paper actually felt substantial, now it feels like they're cutting corners everywhere while charging us more. Its just so frustrating when you want perfection and the company just doesnt care as much as they used to!
Heads up - their deals this year seem better than 2023. I just got an email preview:
> 50% off holiday cards Free shipping on orders over $75Pretty solid if you need holiday cards or gifts Agreed, those are definitely the best rates youll see all year. Just jumping in here to add a bit of caution based on what Ive seen over the years. Even though the deals are great, the biggest mistake is waiting until the last minute of Cyber Monday to pull the trigger. In my experience, Minted gets absolutely hammered with volume during these sales, and their estimated delivery dates can be way off once the backlog starts. If youre planning on mailing cards for the holidays, basically dont count on the standard shipping times. Ive tried many different rush options over the years, and even those get delayed when the system is overloaded. Another thing... never skip the manual proofing step just to save time. Its tempting when youre trying to beat a midnight deadline, but its not worth the risk of a typo. Getting a reprint during the December rush is a nightmare because their support is usually underwater. Just something to keep in mind so you actually get your stuff on time and dont end up with cards arriving in January.
