Anyone got a working Temu discount code? Trying to buy some car detailing stuff, hoping to keep it under $50. Thanks!

Like someone mentioned, searching for these codes is a total nightmare. Honestly, I've spent way too much time trying to shave five bucks off an order just to have every single 'active' code fail at checkout... it's just draining. It's especially frustrating when you're trying to get car stuff because the performance of the chemicals is so unpredictable tho. I'm personally very satisfied with the results from Griot's Garage Brilliant Finish Car Wash because the chemistry actually holds up. The performance really boils down to the surfactant concentration; cheap bulk soaps often lack the lubricity to properly encapsulate grit. I've spent years studying paint maintenance, and it's just exhausting seeing people gamble their clear coat on mystery formulas. I'm much happier with Adam's Polishes Car Shampoo because the pH balance is dialed in. Trying to save ten bucks with a broken code just isnt worth the stress of potentially marring a finish...

Agree with zxpzkqgrdp about those clear coat reactions. Ive seen cheap stuff cloud up trim in minutes, and honestly, its just not worth the risk. Over the years, Ive learned that a solid base layer is way more important than some sketchy $2 bottle from Temu. You want chemicals that wont strip your finish or cause permanent spotting. If you're trying to stay under $50, grab these staples instead:

  • Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax for bulletproof protection that actually lasts.
  • The Rag Company Eagle Edgeless 500 16x16 for safe buffing.
  • P&S Detail Products Brake Buster Wheel Cleaner 16oz for safe cleaning. That wax is basically legendary in the community because it stays on the car, not on your hands. Stick to stuff that has actual safety data sheets behind it... your paint will thank you later.

Just catching up on this thread and yeah, everyone is right to be wary. To add to the point above: the biggest issue with the ultra-cheap stuff is compatibility. You really dont want some mystery chemical from Temu reacting badly with your clear coat or rubber trim... seen it happen and its a total nightmare to fix. If youre trying to stay under $50, Ive been really happy with Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine 32oz. Its about $20 and honestly works well for almost every part of the car. Use the rest of your budget on a bottle of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating 16oz. Its usually around $15 and the protection is legit. No complaints here after using it on my daily driver for a year. Much better than wasting hours hunting for a 5% off code that wont even work half the time anyway!

Good to know!

Skip Temu detailing stuff. Meguiar's Gold Class works well, been using it for years; no complaints.

Skip Temu detailing; Meguiar's Gold Class costs a bit more, but lasts way longer. $25 well spent.

Skip Temu; had issues. Meguiar's Gold Class is better value, lasts longer for ~$15.

Hey! About Temu detailing stuff... unfortunately, I've had issues with some of their electrical items; not as good as expected. For safety, especially with car stuff, maybe stick to brands like Meguiar's? Costs a bit more, but worth it for peace of mind. Just my 2 cents!

About Temu codes...tough. Detailing stuff there's...variable. For microfibers, Chemical Guys on Amazon *might* be better. You'll pay a bit more, but quality's usually consistent. Be careful with overly cheap pads; swirl marks are a pain. Check reviews carefully, especially about dye bleed. I would suggest starting with a small pack to test before committing to a larger order.

Beware cheap detail stuff. Meguiar's Gold Class lasts. Quality matters long-term, even if it's $25 now.

Hey! Skip Temu for detailing. Honestly, DIY can be tough. I learned the hard way – swirls galore! Now I happily pay a pro $80. Worth it for my '67 Mustang. If you're set on DIY, check out Chemical Guys on Amazon; better quality.
