Honestly I am so incredibly fed up with my current gym setup its like every time I try to do a heavy set of squats the whole rack just shudders and I feel like the floor is gonna give out underneath me. I bought this cheap thin steel rack off some random seller on Amazon back in 2023 and man I totally regret it now it keeps wobbling and the safety bars are actually bending under only 225 pounds. Im so ready to just scrap the whole thing and start over with some real heavy duty stuff but I dont want to pay full price if I can help it because my budget is around 3500 dollars and I want to get a full power rack plus some urethane plates and a functional trainer attachment.
So I was thinking maybe I should wait for the 2026 model clearances or those early black friday drops but I literally have no idea when they actually start these days. My logic was that usually companies start trying to clear out the old 2025 inventory around late October to make room for the 2026 gear right? But then I see some places starting Black November in like mid-October and it gets so confusing and I dont want to buy something and then see it 40 percent off two weeks later. I am based in rainy Seattle so I spend like six months of the year stuck in my garage gym and I really need this upgrade before the winter hits hard but I also dont want to miss the absolute best window for the deep discounts on the new 2026 stuff coming out.
Does anyone know if Rogue or REP or even Titan usually leaks their early 2026 stuff or starts those early access sales way before the actual holiday? I keep checking the sites and the prices are just sitting there and it is driving me crazy because I have the cash ready to go and I am just staring at this rickety piece of junk in my garage every morning. Like do I wait until November 1st or is there a secret October window for the early birds that I should be watching for...
Honestly, I've been there with the cheap Amazon racks. It is sketchy when the metal starts bowing under only two plates. For the 2026 cycle, the timeline is pretty predictable if you have been watching these brands for a few years.
