In my experience, those 10 to 15 percent off service fee codes barely make a dent in the total cost once you factor in the cleaning fees and insurance. I tried waiting for a Cyber Monday deal a few years back for a trip out west and it was a total bust... by the time the code actually dropped, the specific camper I wanted was already snatched up for the dates I needed. Not sure but IIRC, owners usually set their own seasonal rates and a lot of the best rigs don't even participate in those platform-wide sales. I have found that just messaging owners now and asking for an early-bird or long-term discount works way better for being cost-effective. I once got a massive break on a rental just by asking the owner if they had a special rate for a two-week spring booking. Usually, they would rather have a guaranteed booking on the calendar now than wait for a maybe later on. It wont hurt to ask and you might save way more than a small service fee discount would give you.

• If you are prepping for a big trip, skip the expensive built in GPS rentals and grab a Garmin RV 895 GPS while they are on sale at retailers during the same time. Its definitely worth waiting another week to see if that code pops up before you pull the trigger on a deposit.
