I'm planning to create an UpWork account to start freelancing but I'm hesitant about the connect costs as a beginner. Has anyone successfully found legitimate coupon codes for UpWork that actually work? I've seen some discount sites claiming to offer them, but they seem suspicious. Do new users ever receive promotional codes via email? Or perhaps during seasonal promotions? Any tips on reducing initial costs while getting established on the platform would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah Lokker is right about the emails being the only legit source, but honestly, you gotta be careful with those random coupon sites. Hunting for codes when I first started out was a total waste since 99 percent of them are fakes or expired. Its super frustrating. Tbh I would suggest just focusing on getting your profile to 100 percent completion instead. Upwork sometimes throws a few free connects your way for that or for passing their readiness test. That stuff is way more reliable than some sketchy code from a random blog. Just dont trust anything that isnt directly from their official domain... keep it simple and dont get caught up in the discount hunt.
