Has anyone heard anything about AYR’s Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales for 2025 yet? I’m trying to plan ahead because I’ve had my eye on a few pieces (especially their jeans and the French Fry sweater), but the prices are a bit steep at full cost.

If you’ve shopped AYR during past Black Friday/Cyber Monday events, did they do sitewide discounts, specific category promos, or just select items? And do their bestsellers usually get excluded or sell out fast? Trying to decide whether to wait for November or grab a couple of things now. What’s been your experience with AYR’s holiday sales, and what would you expect for 2025?

I’d wait. The last 2 years I’ve seen AYR do a real sitewide % off (for me it was 20–25%, code at checkout), and my jeans + French Fry both were included. Bestsellers didn’t get excluded but my size in the popular washes went fast, so I’d bookmark what you want and pounce day 1 of the sale rather than paying full price now.

Hi there, so I’d *maybe* split the difference instead of fully waiting or fully buying now.

From what I’ve tracked the last couple years (I stalk their jeans too 🙃):

- **Discount pattern:** AYR seems to do more traditional % off (20–25%) rather than crazy clearance. It’s usually code-based, not automatic, and often time-limited (like 24–72 hrs), so you kinda have to be ready.
- **Bestsellers behavior:** French Fry + core jeans washes are “evergreen” items. They rarely get totally excluded, but what *does* happen is popular sizes go out of stock or the wash you want disappears for weeks. So technically on sale, but practically… gone.
- **Risk tradeoff (the nerdy part):**
- If your size is common (27–29, M), higher risk of sellout.
- If you’re a less common size, better chance it’ll still be there but you might get fewer color options.

Conservative approach IMO:
- Grab your #1 must-have (esp. if it’s a very specific wash/size combo) now.
- Make a wishlist of “nice-to-have” pieces and wait for BF/CM for those.

Also, sign up for their email/SMS. Sometimes there’s a random 15% welcome or early access that gets you close to BF pricing without the stress.

Hope this helps!

Hi there,

I’m probably the overly-cautious one in threads like this 😅 but I look at AYR BF/CM kind of from a “safety & reliability” angle more than pure savings.

**Option A: Wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday**
**Pros:**
- You’ll *likely* get that 20–25% others mentioned, maybe more.
- Good if you’re flexible on color/size and not super attached.

**Cons (safety-wise):**
- Bestsellers (French Fry, core jean washes) can absolutely sell out in popular sizes. I’ve seen XS/S and 26–28 vanish, then restocks come months later.
- Site traffic issues / slow shipping around BF/CM, so if you need it for an event, it’s risky.
- You might end up panic-buying more than planned “because sale,” which isn’t great for the wallet.

**Option B: Buy now at full price**
**Pros:**
- Safest in terms of inventory. You lock in your size + color now.
- You can wear/return within the normal window without holiday chaos.
- If AYR does a price adjustment (you’d have to confirm with CS… policies change!), you might get the diff without re-ordering. That’s the most “stress-free” path if they still honor that.

**Cons:**
- You might miss out on a decent discount if your exact item doesn’t sell out.

**Option C: Hybrid safety play (what I usually do)**
- Grab the *must-have* / likely-to-sell-out piece now (French Fry or a classic jean wash).
- Wait for BF/CM for the “would be nice but not urgent” stuff.
- Before buying, screenshot current price and size availability so you can argue for a price adjustment later if they’re cool about it.

In my experience, if you’re picky on fit and color and you *know* you want it, the safest move is Option C. Lock in the unicorn pieces, then gamble on the rest.

Hope this helps! Happy plotting your cart 😄

Hi there, cost-conscious take here 🙋‍♀️

If you’re really trying to be smart about $$, I’d look at it this way:

1. **Price history vs. risk**
From what I’ve seen the last few years, AYR’s Black Friday discounts usually land in the ~20–25% range. So I’d ask: *If this went 25% off, would that actually change your decision?* If the answer is yes, it might be worth waiting. If not, buying now avoids size/color sellouts.

2. **Bestsellers specifically (jeans + French Fry)**
These are the ones that either sell out or get limited in sizes, even if they’re technically included in the sale. You might want to consider grabbing the highest‑risk item now (usually the most popular wash/size in jeans) and gambling on the rest later.

3. **Practical tip**
Check their return policy + whether they do price adjustments around BF/CM. If they do (or you’re ok with rebuy/return hassle), you can buy now, lock in your size, and still benefit if a good promo hits.

If it were me: I’d buy the one piece I’d be most upset to miss out on now, then wait for November for any “nice to have” extras.

Hope this helps!

Well, I went down a full nerdy rabbit hole on this last year because I was debating AYR vs. other “nice basics” brands for BF/CM.

Quick story: I had The French Fry and a pair of AYR jeans in my cart, but I also stalk Everlane, Madewell, and Reformation. I ended up making a little spreadsheet (yeah, I know 😂) comparing discounts and how often things *actually* go on sale.

From what I’ve seen:
- **AYR**: Smaller but growing brand, so their BF/CM tends to be one of the *few* real promo moments. The % off is usually lower than big brands, but they also don’t markdown as aggressively the rest of the year, so the holiday discount is actually meaningful.
- **Madewell / Everlane**: Deeper discounts more often (esp. Madewell), but the quality/fit on jeans for me hasn’t held up as well as AYR. Long-term cost per wear, AYR’s higher upfront price has worked out fine.
- **Reformation / Aritzia level**: Similar price tier, sometimes similar % off, but they tend to exclude bestsellers more aggressively than AYR seems to.

So for 2025, I’d *expect* AYR to do something in line with prior years, but compared to other brands, BF/CM is probably the best shot you’ll get at a meaningful AYR discount. If you know your size and these are pieces you’ll wear nonstop, I’d personally wait for BF/CM for AYR, but fill any immediate “need” gaps with a cheaper brand sale now.

Lesson learned for me: AYR isn’t the deepest discount in the market, but their holiday sale is usually the best intersection of **quality + actual markdown** vs. the more gimmicky promos other brands run all year.

Hope this helps!

Hey, fellow AYR stalker here 🙋‍♀️ I totally get wanting to plan this out, their prices aren’t exactly impulse-buy level.

**How I look at AYR BF/CM (DIY style):**
I’ve shopped AYR the last 4–5 holiday seasons, and what’s worked best for me is treating it like a little DIY “price tracking project” instead of just waiting and hoping for a magic sale.

### 1. Understand the issue
You’re basically weighing: pay more now vs. risk your size/color selling out in November. BF/CM *usually* brings a decent % off, but bestsellers and good washes do go fast.

### 2. Self-service tactics I use
Here’s the stuff I do myself instead of waiting for AYR to announce anything:

- **Build a private wishlist (outside AYR):**
I keep a simple Google Sheet / Notes list: style, color, size, current price, and date. Takes 5 mins. Then I can see if they’re quietly marked down before BF.

- **Price-check over time:**
I check the same items maybe once a week. AYR sometimes does random promos (like 15% off or specific categories) way before BF. I’ve grabbed jeans that way and was happy I didn’t wait.

- **Use alerts instead of refreshing:**
I set:
- Email alerts: sign up for AYR emails + SMS (they usually push early access codes there).
- Browser bookmark folder "AYR BF" and just run through it quickly when I’m bored.

- **DIY fit testing early:**
What’s really saved me: ordering *one* core piece early at full price (or with any small current promo), just to nail the size. Then when BF hits, I can pounce on other washes/colors without worrying they won’t fit. I’ve done this with The Pop and their jeans and it’s been worth it.

### 3. My recommendation for 2025 specifically
If I were you:
- **Now:**
- Make a mini spreadsheet or note w/ your must-haves (French Fry + 1–2 jean styles).
- If your size is one of the "problem" sizes (like 26–28 in popular washes), consider buying *one* hero piece now as a test run.
- **Before BF/CM:**
- Watch for any random fall promos (15–20% happens sometimes). If your French Fry or jeans dip, grab them.
- **On BF/CM:**
- Assume some kind of sitewide % off, but be ready to check out quickly on your Wishlist items. I’ve seen best colors of French Fry disappear same day.

DIY approach = you’re not at the mercy of whatever they decide in November. You’re tracking, testing fit, and then using BF/CM to *optimize*, not gamble.

Hope this helps! Happy to sanity-check if you wanna list the exact items you’re debating between.

Hey, long‑time AYR hoarder here 🙋‍♀️ I’ve been buying from them every Black Friday/Cyber Monday since… 2019-ish?

**Background (how their stuff actually ages)**
I’ve got: 3 pairs of jeans, 2 French Fry sweaters, a few tees and shirts. I wear the jeans and French Fry CONSTANTLY (like weekly in fall/winter), and honestly the cost-per-wear has been great. Minimal pilling on the sweaters, denim hasn’t bagged out weirdly, no popped seams. I’m pretty picky and I’m still happy.

**Why this matters for BF/CM**
Because their stuff holds up, I treat BF/CM as a way to *lock in* long-term staples, not chase the lowest possible price. Waiting can save you 20–25%, but owning it earlier means more wear, more seasons.

**What I’d do for 2025, based on past years**
- If you’re sure about the jeans/French Fry and they’re core colors: I’d personally buy at least one now, then add another if there’s a BF/CM sale. Those pieces have earned full price for me.
- If it’s a trendier color or something you’re unsure you’ll love: wait for November and gamble on the discount/stock.

FWIW, I have zero regrets on the pieces I paid full price for because they’re still in rotation years later. The sale is nice, but the real “deal” has been how long they’ve lasted.

Hope that helps you plan a bit!
