tl;dr: i always wait too long for the perfect discount and end up with nothing. totally feel you on the waiting game. i have been doing this for so long and yet i still make the same mistakes every single year. last time i was watching for a specific price point on my Patagonia Torrentshell 3L Jacket and by the time it dropped another 5 percent my size was long gone. it is honestly exhausting trying to time it perfectly. my current gear is basically holding on by a thread at this point but i am still here lurking the forums to see if anyone has better luck than me. we are all in this together lol... just hoping this year is less of a scramble than the last one was. honestly, the stress of the cart timer is half the battle.

Crossing fingers that Garmin drops the inReach Mini 2 price this year. Been waiting to get one for safety on solo trips. Haven't seen many discounts on these.
