When is Amazon actually starting the 2026 Black Friday deals? I'm getting so stressed because I have to move to my new apartment in Seattle by the first week of December and I really need to get my TV and some kitchen appliances bought before the movers get there.

I tried looking it up and one site said it usually starts on the 20th but then another forum post mentioned they might do a Pre-Black Friday week starting even earlier on the 13th. Im totally confused because if I wait too long everything will be sold out but if I buy too early I might miss the actual deep discounts. My budget is pretty tight—only like $800 for everything—so I cant afford to mess this up...

TL;DR: Sales start Nov 20th! Grab the TCL 55-inch S4 4K LED Smart TV as soon as it hits your price. Buy early because things sell out fast, youll love the deals!

Honestly, I’ve had some pretty bad luck with those early bird sales. Last time I jumped on a deal too fast in mid-November, the shipping was delayed by weeks because of the holiday rush, which would be a nightmare for your move. Unfortunately, a lot of super cheap TVs during that window are specific Black Friday Specials with lower-quality panels and fewer ports. It’s kinda disappointing how they cut corners. Since you're on a budget, here’s how I’d play it to stay safe:

  • Look for the Hisense 50-inch U6N Mini-LED 4K Google TV. The Mini-LED tech is way better than standard LED, tho the motion handling isn't as good as I expected.
  • Grab a Instant Pot Duo Plus 9-in-1 6-Quart Multi-Cooker. I had issues with off-brand pressure cookers before, basically wasted my money.
  • Stick to items shipped and sold by Amazon to avoid third-party shipping disasters. Moving is stressful enough, so just be careful...

To add to the point above: just catching up on this thread and you really might want to be careful with those doorbuster model numbers.

  • Check the peak brightness nits because if your new Seattle place has big windows, a cheap panel will just look like a mirror.
  • I would suggest looking at the Insignia 50-inch Class F30 Series 4K if you need to save cash but want something reliable.
  • Make sure to look for the Cuisinart AirFryer Toaster Oven TOA-60 if it hits that 100 dollar mark, it basically replaces three appliances for your kitchen. Moving to my first studio was a trip because I tried to DIY a whole loft bed to save space. Drilling straight into a water pipe was definitely not the plan. A whole weekend was spent with a wrench instead of watching my new TV. Total nightmare... but yeah, just watch those shipping dates so you dont beat the movers there.

Agree with the 20th timeline. Ive been very satisfied using price tracking sites to analyze technical data and historical lows before a big move.

  • Use CamelCamelCamel for specific price trends.

Jumping in here to agree with the admin. I had issues with those budget panels during my last upgrade and it was a total disaster. I ran some calibration tests and the color gamut was significantly narrower than the standard retail units... unfortunately not as good as expected at all. Those mid-November deals are often just retailers dumping inferior inventory onto people who dont know better. Since you have a strict 800 limit for your Seattle move, I would look at the Vizio 50-inch V-Series 4K UHD LED Smart TV because it usually has better local dimming than the Hisense specials. For the kitchen stuff, maybe look into the Ninja Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ which usually hits a sweet spot on price-to-performance during the 20th-24th window. Quick tip: Compare the weight of the Black Friday model vs the standard one on the manufacturer site. If its significantly lighter, they probably swapped out the heatsinks and internal power board for cheaper components.

Like someone mentioned, those shipping delays are a complete nightmare during the holidays. I am catching up on this thread and honestly, the stress is so relatable. I had issues with my last move because the big deals I snagged were actually for lower-end versions of products that felt like a total waste of money. It is so disappointing when you realize a Hisense 50-inch Class A6 Series 4K UHD you bought on sale has major motion blur issues. Reliability is a huge concern when you cannot afford to replace things later. Tip: Focus on items with high reliability scores over the raw discount percentages. Always document any box damage immediately upon arrival just in case you have to fight for a return.
