Are Nike or Adidas offering better Cyber Monday 2026 discounts?

Okay so I'm already looking ahead to Cyber Monday 2026 even though it feels like ages away because I'm planning this big running trip to Seattle for a marathon in early January and I really need to refresh my gear. I've got like $350 saved up specifically for this and I'm honestly so torn between going all in on Nike or switching over to Adidas this year. So I was thinking, I did a bit of digging and I saw some old threads saying Nike usually does that flat 25% off everything for members but then I also read on a blog that Adidas sometimes drops these crazy 40 or 50% off deals on their ultraboosts and high-end tech. But the thing that gets me is whether those "up to 50%" sales are just for the ugly colorways that nobody wants? My logic was that if I can get a solid 25% off the newest Alphaflys or something from Nike that might be better than gambling on Adidas having stock of the good stuff. I'm just so hyped to finally get some decent carbon plate shoes without paying full retail price lol.

But then I saw someone mention that Adidas Adiclub members get early access which might mean the best deals are gone by Monday anyway? It's so confusing because every year feels different. Last year Nike's shipping took forever too so that's a factor. If I'm trying to get a full kit—shoes, tights, maybe a windbreaker—is one brand usually more "generous" with the sitewide codes versus just specific "outlet" sections? I don't want to waste my budget on stuff that's just okay if the other brand is going to have a massive price drop on the premium gear. Has anyone tracked the trends for these two lately? Like is Nike getting stingier with the coupons or is Adidas still the king of deep discounts? I just want the best bang for my buck for this January race...

Catching up on this. If you value reliability for your January race, Nike is usually the safer bet imo. Their website handles the traffic better and the 25 percent member discount is much more consistent across all sizes.

  • Nike Pegasus 40 Road Running Shoes
  • Nike Vaporfly 3 Road Racing Shoes Sticking with Nike avoids the inventory headaches Adidas has during those big 50 percent off events. Its just easier to plan your kit.

Adidas is totally the king of deep discounts! I grabbed Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 Running Shoes for 50% off last year. Nike is usually way stingier with premium tech coupons imo!
