I am totally lost looking at these sales and honestly dont know where to start. My son needs soccer cleats and I am in a huge rush.

  • $80 budget max
  • Need them by next Saturday
  • Location is Chicago

Is Nike or Adidas better right now? I cant tell which site has the actual deals...

To add to the point above: I have tried many different brands for my kids over the years, and honestly, Nike usually wins on the mid-range Academy tier during these big sales. Since you are in Chicago, shipping is usually pretty reliable from their regional hubs, but you gotta move fast. I am always a bit cautious with the super cheap models, but these two are reliable workhorses that should stay under your $80 cap:

  • Nike Phantom GX 2 Academy MG Soccer Cleats
  • These have the Multi-Ground plate which is great for safety. It handles turf or grass without those nasty ankle rolls.
  • Nike Mercurial Vapor 15 Academy MG Soccer Cleats
  • A bit more of a snug fit but they are incredibly light and hold up well to abuse. In my experience, Nike's site is way easier to navigate during Cyber Monday because the prices are clearly marked. Adidas sometimes makes you hunt for a promo code at checkout which is a total pain when you're in a rush.

Honestly, the online stock for both brands has been pretty disappointing this year, especially if you are looking for common sizes under $80. I tried ordering around this time last year and it was a total mess with shipping delays. Since you are in Chicago, honestly, I wouldnt risk the standard shipping if you absolutely need them by next Saturday. Shipping hubs get backed up like crazy after the Cyber Monday rush. If you can find the Adidas Copa Pure 2 League FG in stock, those are usually solid for the price, but Nike has been falling behind lately on durability for their entry-level stuff. I would actually suggest looking at the Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Academy MG since they tend to hold up a bit better for growing kids. Just a heads up tho, I have had issues with Nike sizing being weirdly narrow lately. If you can, maybe just do a store pickup at a local Dick's or something to be safe. Good luck, hope you get them in time!

> My son needs soccer cleats and I am in a huge rush. Adidas is totally crushing it right now! I just grabbed some gear and the shipping was lightning fast to the Midwest. You should definitely look at the Adidas Predator Accuracy.3 Firm Ground Soccer Cleats since they are on a massive sale well under your $80 limit. Nike is okay but Adidas is way more reliable for speed right now!
