Planning some upgrades to my '08 Mustang's sound system. I saw some decent car audio deals on Newegg this past Black Friday. Has anyone had luck snagging REALLY good discounts on amps, speakers, or head units during Newegg's Black Friday sale? I'm thinking about waiting until 2025 to see what pops up. Any specific brands or product categories to watch out for? Or is it better to stick with dedicated auto parts retailers for better prices/selection?
> Or is it better to stick with dedicated auto parts retailers for better prices/selection? Ive actually had some really solid luck with Newegg over the years for audio gear, especially for head units. Im pretty satisfied with how they handle shipping on larger items and haven't had issues with DOA parts. Before I give you a full breakdown though, are you still running the factory Shaker 500 or Shaker 1000 setup in that Mustang? The reason I ask is that Neweggs inventory usually leans towards universal fit components like the Sony XAV-AX4000 Digital Media Receiver or various Pioneer TS-A Series Speakers. Technically, the Shaker systems have specific ohm requirements for the subs, so you gotta be careful there. I usually watch for their deals on Class D amps like the Alpine S-A60M S-Series Mono Amplifier because they run way cooler in the trunk. The discounts can be massive if you catch a Shell Shocker deal, but you gotta know exactly what harness youll need beforehand or the savings kinda evaporate if you have to buy extra adapters elsewhere.
