Does anyone know if Mpix is gonna do a legit site-wide discount for Black Friday in 2026 or is it always just those random 25% off prints deals they send out in emails? I've been using them for my studio work out of Chicago for like six years now so I know their quality is top tier especially for the E-Surface stuff and the custom framed pieces but I've never actually waited for the big holiday sales before. Honestly I'm kinda panicking because I have this massive project for a high-end client-its about 15 premium albums with the linen covers and a huge stack of giclee prints-and I absolutely have to have them shipped out by December 15th at the latest.

My budget is super thin right now since I just dropped way too much money on new RF lenses and I really need that 40% or 50% site-wide code to make the math work on this job. In the past I feel like I remember seeing them do big discounts but then other years it was just certain items like cards or calendars which doesnt help me at all for these albums. Does anyone who tracks their sales closely know if they usually commit to a full site discount every year or is it a gamble... I really dont want to wait until late November and find out I'm stuck paying full price for fifteen 10x10 albums because that's gonna kill my margin.

  • Be careful, site-wide codes usually cap at 25% for Mpix Signature Photo Album 10x10.
  • Those giclee prints need extra drying time, so account for a 48-hour lag. Lmk if you need specs!

Regarding what #2 said about "Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been..." I gotta agree that banking on 50 percent off for the high-end stuff is probably gonna lead to a letdown. I've been using them for a few years now for my side business and I'm super satisfied with the results, but they rarely go that deep on the premium items. I remember my first big job where I needed a bunch of Mpix Premium Panoramic Photo Book 8.5x11 for a local gallery event. I waited until the last minute hoping for a massive site-wide code, but it stayed firm at 25 percent. I was bummed at first, but honestly, the quality of the linen and the paper is so good that I still felt like I got a steal. If you're tight on cash because of those Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM lenses—which, btw, totally worth it—you might want to keep an eye on the Mpix Giclee Fine Art Prints 11x14 specifically. Sometimes they run a separate promo for fine art prints that hits 30 or 40 percent right before the actual Black Friday weekend. Just a heads up though, that Dec 15th deadline is scary. If you wait for the BF sale, you're only giving them like two weeks to print and ship 15 albums. I've never had a bad experience with their turnaround, but the holidays get wild... just something to keep in mind so you dont lose sleep over it.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been using them for years and have no complaints about the quality. TL;DR: Expect 25% site-wide, maybe 30% on a good year, but 50% usually only hits cards or calendars. I remember back in 2022 I was in the exact same boat... spent way too much on glass and was sweating the cost of a dozen albums. I waited until Black Friday and the code was only 25% off. I was happy with the savings, but realized then that the premium products rarely get massive cuts. One thing I learned is that when those sales hit, the lab gets slammed. If you order late November, getting it all by Dec 15th is gonna be really tight because the handmade stuff takes extra time. Just have everything ready in your cart so you can hit buy the second the code drops.
