Im trying to get ahead of the game for my sisters wedding gift which isnt until next summer but I want to have the album ready to print by late 2026. Mpix is hands down the best quality for the price but their big sales are the only way I can actually afford a high-end signature book. I did a bit of digging on some old forums and saw people saying the official Black Friday deals hit the Monday before Thanksgiving but then I saw a different thread on Reddit where people mentioned getting early access codes as early as the first week of November if they had an account.
Its kinda confusing because some people say the early access is only for their Loyalty members or whatever they call it now and others say its just a general email blast. I really need to know the timing because:
If I wait too long Im worried the turnaround time will push it past Christmas. Does anyone remember if the 2024 or 2025 early access was like a full week before or just a few days? Trying to mark my calendar way in advance so I dont miss the window...
@Reply #1 - good point! Doing 10x10?
Building on the earlier suggestion, unfortunately that 300 dollar budget is gonna be really tight for a 50-page Signature Book even with a 40 percent off sale. I had issues with the total cost last time because those extra spreads are basically where they get you... it adds up way faster than you think. If the Mpix Signature Photo Album 8x8 Silk Paper is still too much once you add all the pages, you might have to look at the Mpix Premium Panoramic Photo Book 10x10 to stay under budget. Tbh the early access usually only starts about two days before the general sale hits around the 20th of November, so it doesnt give you a huge head start for shipping. Denver shipping is a nightmare in December anyway, so definitely dont wait until the actual Black Friday weekend or you wont see that book until January. Just have the design finished and sitting in your cart by early November so you can checkout the second the code hits your inbox.
Ive been ordering from them for my annual family yearbooks for like a decade now so Ive seen their sale patterns shift a bit over the years. In my experience, if you are signed up for their loyalty rewards, you usually see those early access codes hit your inbox around the first or second week of November. The Monday before Thanksgiving deal is typically when the general public gets let in, but the loyalty members definitely get first dibs on the best turnaround times before things get crazy. Quick question tho, does your $300 budget need to cover a custom leather or acrylic cover upgrade or is that just for the pages? Also are you thinking about the thick lay-flat pages or the standard thickness ones because that really changes how fast they can print and ship during the holiday rush...
