im trying to get ahead of the game for the 2026 cyber monday stuff because every single year i wait until the actual monday and every shoe in my size is already gone. its honestly so annoying. i was poking around on some of those deal tracker sites and reddit threads but its mostly just people talking about what happened last year or two years ago. i did see one leak saying nike might do a 30% off sitewide starting the tuesday before but then another site said adidas is keeping the best ultraboost deals strictly for their app members this time around and only for like a 2 hour window. it’s confusing as hell because i dont want to pay full price today if it’s gonna be half off in two weeks but i also really need this gear for my training block.
im training for a marathon in early 2027 so i actually need the high-performance stuff not just some basic sneakers to walk around in. i’m in chicago so it gets freezing and i need the winterized versions of things if possible. here is what i am trying to stick to:
has anyone seen actual confirmed dates for the 2026 drops yet? i read that nike might be changing their whole member access thing so the early deals might not even be public this year. some people are saying the best stuff is actually on the saturday before cyber monday now? i just dont want to miss the window because i really cant afford to drop $250 on a single pair of shoes right now. if anyone has a lead on those early access codes or knows if the outlet stores are doing better deals than the website please let me know...
TLDR: Join the free Nike and Adidas member programs now! The 11.5s always sell out by the Saturday before, so you gotta use the app early access. I went through this exact same stress for my last marathon! I compared the Nike Vaporfly 3 against the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 and honestly, the Adidas is amazing for durability on Chicago roads. Love it! The Nike is fantastic for pure speed, but that Adidas grip is a lifesaver on patches of ice. For the gear, I swear by the Nike Therma-FIT ADV Swift Tights. I snagged them during the pre-sale last year and they actually stay put during 18-mile runs. Compared to the Adidas tights, the Nike ones have way better wind resistance for our lakefront gusts. Just watch the Nike app on the Sunday before... it is usually a 30 percent sitewide drop for members only!
