Okay so I finally have a real job and saved up like 700 dollars to buy my first pair of actually nice shoes. Ive been wearing the same target flats for years and my feet are basically dying every day lol so I really need an upgrade. Im super excited to finally get something like Prada or maybe those red bottom ones everyone talks about but honestly I have no idea how any of this works.

Is Black Friday actually good for designer stuff?? Like do the big brands even do discounts or is it just the department stores like Nordstrom or Saks that have the sales? I live in a tiny apartment in Queens so I mostly do my shopping online cause I hate the crowds in the city but I dont want to get scammed by some fake website that looks real. I feel so dumb even asking this but like... do I need a coupon code or something? Or do I have to sign up for a newsletter months ago to get the good deals?

Everything is so expensive and I really dont want to mess this up since its my first big purchase ever and I want them to last a long time. Where are the best places or specific sites to keep an eye on for the 2026 designer shoe sales?

Hey there! Congrats on the new job, thats so exciting. Honestly, your first big designer purchase feels amazing once you actually have them in hand. I've been super satisfied with sticking to the major retailers because they are way safer than random sites you find on Google. You won't usually need a special code, the prices just drop automatically during the sale week. Here are the spots I usually watch:

  • Nordstrom (best return policy)
  • Net-a-Porter (totally legit and ships fast to Queens)
  • Saks Fifth Avenue (great for Louboutins) I grabbed the Prada Brushed Leather Loafers Black a while back and they have been worth every penny. If you want heels, the Christian Louboutin Kate 100mm Black Nappa Leather are the ones everyone loves. Just sign up for their newsletters a week before so you get the early access links... it works well for me every year.
