Where can I find the best Black Friday 2026 clothing sales?

Ive been tracking price drops and SKU movements for years on my own sheets but 2026 is looking weirdly quiet so far. Usually by now the early leak sites have something but it feels like everyone is pivoting to these gated app-only drops which mess with my tracking scripts.

Im specifically looking to drop about 800 bucks on some heavy duty winter gear for the Chicago lakefront wind and honestly I cant find the usual early bird flyers. Are the big players like Nordstrom or even the niche techwear brands hiding their deals behind loyalty programs this year? Where are you guys seeing the actual good leaks for the November window?

Reddits got the best leaks! For Chicago:

  • Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket GORE-TEX Pro has amazing 100D durability but zero insulation.
  • Canada Goose Expedition Parka 625 Fill Power is fantastic for warmth but heavy!

Quick reply while I have a sec. Honestly the apps are annoying but usually safer for returns if things go south. If you want something reliable that wont let you down in that lakefront wind, these are pretty decent, safe options:

  • Patagonia Grade VII Down Parka 800-fill-power
  • The North Face McMurdo Parka III DryVent 550-fill The warranties on these are basically bulletproof too.

Building on the earlier suggestion, the shift to gated apps is definitely disrupting standard tracking methodologies. In my experience, prioritizing construction quality over seasonal hype is essential for surviving the Chicago winter.

  • Invest in a Carhartt WIP Heavy Duty Parka.
  • Utilize an Outdoor Research Technical Shell for layering. Cost tip: monitor clearance inventory immediately. Youll frequently find deeper discounts there than during the actual November sales event... honestly the apps are just noise.
