I really need to figure out my gear strategy for my 2027 marathon training cuz my current Brooks are basically bald and I'm on a tight budget. I saw some old posts saying Brooks usually does 20% off but then other people say the newest models like the Glycerin are always excluded from the 2026 Black Friday stuff so I'm stuck.
My logic was to wait and grab two pairs for under $220 total but I'm worried about stock. I'm in Seattle so I need something for wet pavement.
- Do Saucony or New Balance usually have better site-wide sales?
- Is it worth waiting for Hoka or do they only discount the ugly colors?
I'm kinda panicking because if I don't buy soon I'll be training in flats...

OMG you definitely need to prioritize grip since Seattle rain is no joke!! I totally get the panic but dont worry!! From what I've seen Saucony is AMAZING for Black Friday sales! They usually do 30 percent off site-wide which is way better than Brooks. I love my Saucony Ride 17 Neutral Road Running Shoes because they feel so secure and stable on the road. If you want something super reliable for wet ground you should look at the New Balance Fresh Foam X 880 v14 Road Shoes too. They usually have great deals! Hoka is kinda tricky because the discounts are mostly on weird colors... safety and comfort first tho so stick with brands that offer full site discounts! You're gonna do fantastic in your marathon training! TL;DR: Focus on Saucony and New Balance for the best site-wide discounts. You can easily snag two solid pairs for under 220 during the holiday rush!
