Im already stressing about next year because I totally whiffed on the deals this month and my current gym beaters are literally falling apart at the seams. I need to snag at least two pairs of solid runners and maybe some Jordan 1s or something casual if they actually go on sale. I have about $400 put aside specifically for this but if I wait until the last minute again I just know the 11.5 sizes are gonna be gone in seconds.

I was looking at some old archive threads and these sneaker blogs for 2024 and 2025 and they keep saying Nike is the go-to for the extra 25 percent off clearance stuff but then I see people on Reddit complaining that the actually good colorways are always excluded from the promo codes anyway. My logic was maybe I should pivot and look at ASICS or even Saucony for the better performance deals? But then I heard New Balance is super stingy and rarely goes above 15 percent even on Black Friday unless its the weird models nobody actually wants to wear.

It is so frustrating because every site says something different about what to expect for the 2026 outlook and I need to know if I should keep saving more or if these big discounts are just hype for outlet leftovers. Which brands actually slash prices on the stuff people actually want to wear...

Honestly, I used to chase those Nike clearance codes too but it always felt like a gamble with the sizes. Last year I tried to get some Jordans and by the time the site loaded, my size was long gone and I ended up with nothing. Now I mostly play it safe with brands that have more predictable inventory. I started looking at ASICS Novablast 4 Running Shoes because they usually have decent stock even when the sales hit 30 percent off. They arent as flashy as the hype stuff but my feet actually feel supported which is the main thing for me. For the casual side, if you want something like the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low Retro, you gotta be careful. The black friday discounts usually only hit the colorways that didnt sell well during summer. If you really want to make that $400 stretch without getting stuck with outlet leftovers, checking dedicated running sites is usually a safer bet than the main brand sites. They tend to be way more honest about what is actually on sale... ngl it is way less stressful that way.
