So Ive been building my own rigs since the early 2000s and usually I have my Cyber Monday routine down to a science—refreshing Newegg and B&H at midnight, you know the drill. But this year feels super weird with all the supply chain rumors for the Q4 2026 releases. Im trying to put together a serious workstation for a massive freelance project that kicks off first week of January, so I really cant afford to miss out on parts or wait for backorders. My budget is about $4,000 for the tower alone and Im hunting for those high-end components like the latest gen GPUs and those specific 4TB NVMe drives that always seem to sell out in five minutes. Lately though, the big retailers have been absolutely overrun by scalper bots and Im starting to hear that some of the smaller boutique shops or maybe even direct manufacturer sites like ASUS might be doing better exclusive drops this year. Im located in Oregon so Im trying to avoid sales tax if possible but honestly at this point I just need to know who is actually going to have the deep discounts and stock. Are there any niche sites or reliable aggregators I should be watching besides the usual suspects? I need to get this build finalized before the end of November or Im totally screwed for this job.

> refreshing Newegg and B&H at midnight, you know the drill. I love B&H! They have amazing stock on the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB NVMe SSD and way better shipping than Newegg. Newegg feels kinda messy with those marketplace sellers lately.

  • B&H: Fantastic service but prices are usually firm.
  • ASUS Direct: Amazing for snagging an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 24GB without the bot drama! Good luck!

Micro Center offers amazing structured bundle deals for workstations! Snagging the Crucial T705 4TB NVMe SSD there maximizes your budget cuz their combo discounts totally beat individual retail prices!

Man i am dealing with the exact same thing right now and its honestly stressing me out so much. I have been hunting for the same kind of info for like two months and still havent found a solid lead on who will actually have stock without huge markups. It sucks because i really need this build ready for a gig in January too. If i find anything reliable i will definitely let you know, tho i am pretty lost myself.
