I'm freaking out a little bit because I really need a new TV for my apartment in Chicago. My current one literally just died on me and I have like a $600 budget max which isnt much these days for something decent. Everyone keeps talking about these "leaked ads" for Black Friday 2026 and how you can see what Best Buy or Walmart are going to sell before they actually announce it. I tried searching on Google but I just keep getting these weird scammy looking websites with tons of popups and I'm scared I'm gonna get a virus or something. I honestly have no idea where to start or if there is like a "secret" site that people use??

I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question I just dont want to wait until the last minute and then find out everything is sold out because I didnt check the leaks early enough. My brother told me some people use Reddit or specific forums but I dont even know which ones are real or if I'm even looking at the right year. It's all so confusing and I'm worried I'm gonna miss the window to buy a 4k screen before they're gone.

Where do you guys actually go to find the real leaked ads for electronics without getting scammed or clicking on bad links? Is there a specific date they usually start showing up...

ngl i've spent way too much time hunting deals and those leak sites are usually just clickbait. if you want a killer screen under 600 bucks, just watch for these instead of waiting:

  • TCL 6-Series 55-inch R655 4K Mini-LED: killer brightness and local dimming, though the software can be buggy.
  • Sony X80K 55-inch 4K LED TV: amazing colors and upscaling but lacks the deep blacks. the tcl is definitely better for dark rooms.

Listen, you are totally right to be cautious about those sketchy sites! I have been hunting these deals for over a decade and those fake leak sites are a total nightmare. For the absolute best and safest info, you really need to bookmark BlackFriday.com and the r/blackfriday community on Reddit because they are absolutely fantastic for verifying legitimate scans. The moderators there are incredibly strict so you dont have to worry about clicking on malware or weird popups! Typically, the major leaks for big box retailers start surfacing around the first or second week of November. Honestly, for a $600 budget, you can find some incredible value if you time it right. I have seen amazing performance from the TCL 6-Series 55-inch 4K Mini-LED TV and the Hisense U8 Series 55-inch 4K Mini-LED TV which often drop into that price range during the holiday rush. Just keep refreshing those two specific sites... they are the gold standard for veteran deal hunters like us! Its gonna be so exciting once the real scans start dropping and you see those prices!

^ This. Also, I think the real technical data for 2026 wont drop until early November. Not 100% sure but IIRC those internal inventory lists usually hit the web around the 10th. I love checking the price history charts on Slickdeals to see if the savings are legit!! Its fantastic how much data you can find there to stay under 600. TL;DR: Watch Slickdeals in early Nov for actual scanned ad leaks.
