Honestly I am so sick of these fake sales every year like I spent all of last November refreshing Amazon and Best Buy just to see prices go up right before the discount hit it is actually ridiculous. I was trying to snag a decent GPU last year and the bots just ate everything within two seconds and I ended up with nothing but a headache. I'm already stressing about 2026 because I need to build a whole new rig for my architectural design work here in Chicago and I have about $1500 saved up specifically for the big parts. I dont want to deal with the usual suspects anymore if they're just gonna play games with the inventory and ship me a returned box.
Is Newegg still even good or have they gone downhill too? I heard B&H is okay but I've never used them for major PC components before. Basically I am done with the mainstream hype and just want to know where people actually find legitimate deep discounts on high end tech during Cyber Monday. Are there some smaller niche sites I should be watching for 2026? Or maybe some secret discord groups that track the real drops? Im just so tired of the 50 percent off tags that are actually just the normal MSRP...
Skip the Amazon noise and hit the real pros! Since you are in Chicago, the Micro Center on Elston is your holy grail for parts.
