So basically my brother showed me some videos of these crazy looking games and now I really want to build my own pc even though I literally dont know what a motherboard does lol. I've been saving up like crazy from my job at the coffee shop here in Portland and I think by the end of next year I'll have about $2700 tucked away. I really want one of those top tier graphics cards like the ones they call the 90 series? I think? I'm sorry if this is super basic but I'm just so lost with all the numbers and letters they use. I was looking at some calendars and stuff and noticed people talk about these huge sales in November so I'm aiming for November 2026 to finally buy everything because that's right around my 21st birthday and I want to treat myself to the best setup possible.

Right now the high end stuff is like $1600 or more which is basically my whole budget almost so I'm really banking on a big price drop. I keep hearing rumors about new versions coming out every two years so maybe the 2024 or 2025 ones will be super cheap by late 2026? I just want to play games in 4k and have everything look like a movie. I'm just worried I'll wait all that time and the prices will stay the same or go up because of some weird tech thing I don't understand yet. I'm just so pumped to finally have a real gaming rig instead of this old laptop that sounds like a jet engine whenever I open Minecraft.

My list of stuff I think I need:

• the biggest gpu I can find
• a screen that is super clear
• those colorful lights for the box
• a lot of memory

Does anyone know if those really expensive high-end GPUs are actually gonna see some major price drops by November 2026 or is that just wishful thinking on my part? Like will the older ones get way cheaper when the new ones come out or do they just stay expensive forever...
