Im already getting so hyped for Black Friday 2026 even though its forever away lol. I need new runners for a trip to Japan in early 2027 so I gotta snag them during the sales.
Im stuck between the Nike Pegasus or just going for some Hoka Bondis if they drop low enough. My budget is like 140 max and Hoka rarely does big sales but sometimes those boutique sites like Zappos or Nordstrom start their stuff a week early. Nike usually does the member-only early access thing which is cool but I dont know which one usually has the deeper cuts for early 2026... anyone seen trackers for who drops their shoe deals first?

I would suggest being very careful when hunting for those 2026 sales because there are a lot of scam sites that pop up around that time of year. If you are looking for reliability for a big trip, I think you might want to consider sticking to the official sources to avoid issues.
- Make sure to sign up for the Nike membership early since their early access is usually the safest way to get the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 42 Road Running Shoes at a discount without worrying about fakes.
- Be careful with boutique sites that look too good to be true, especially for the Hoka Bondi 8 Everyday Cushion as they rarely go on deep clearance.
- I suggest checking Nordstrom first because their return policy is more secure if the sizing is off for your trip. I always wait for the official member days because the shipping is much more reliable... dont want to lose your money right before a big trip.

To add to the point above: I would suggest checking the stack height before buying for Japan. I once took thin soles and my feet were basically dead by day three... total rookie mistake.
- Track prices on Slickdeals or RunRepeat for early drops
- Consider Brooks Ghost 16 Neutral Running Shoes for better durability
- The Asics Novablast 4 Performance Shoes has amazing foam for long days

Regarding what #3 said about how helpful those tips are... I actually have a slightly different take on the budget side of things. Honestly if youre looking for that max cushion feel for Japan but want to stay under 140, I wouldnt get too hung up on Hoka. Theyre stingy with discounts even on Black Friday. I've been super satisfied with some other brands that go way deeper on price cuts and work just as well for long walking days.
- New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v13 is basically a cloud and usually hits deep discounts on outlet sites.
- Saucony Triumph 21 Premium Cushioning is a total tank and feels amazing for walking miles in cities. Both of these usually drop way below your 140 limit while the Hokas might barely budge. Plus New Balance is generally easier to find in wide widths if your feet swell after a long flight... definitely worth keeping an eye on those instead.
