Honestly I'm so done with these retail sites lately. I've been trying to find some decent walking boots for my trip to London in Jan 2026 and every time I look at my usual spots they've jacked the prices up like crazy. It's ridiculous how you cant even find a good deal anymore without being part of some exclusive membership or whatever.
I have a strict $150 budget for myself and my daughter and its looking impossible right now. I thought looking this far ahead would give me an advantage but it feels like everything is just getting more expensive the more I wait. I'm really trying to be proactive because last year I waited until the last minute and ended up spending double on shoes that fell apart in two weeks which was so annoying and I don't want to repeat that mistake again. I just want something durable that doesnt break the bank but all these clearance sections are just full of weird sizes or ugly leftovers.
Does anyone actually know where the early 2026 holiday shoe discounts are posted online? Like are there specific outlet sites or maybe some kind of tracker that actually works for the upcoming winter season? I need to get this sorted before the end of the year...
Regarding what #2 said about "Building on the earlier suggestion, I think tracking..." - honestly, that stuff is way too techy for me lol. In my experience, if youre trying to get two pairs under $150 for 2026, youre gonna have a tough time with brand new releases. You gotta look at the 2024 or 2025 leftovers on sites like Sierra or 6pm right now. Ive tried a bunch of boots over the years and here is what actually lasts:
> I just want something durable Scrapers failed me lately. Try checking Merrell Moab 3 Waterproof Hiking Shoes on Slickdeals instead, tho their API notification lag wasnt great for a Vibram-soled boot...
Building on the earlier suggestion, I think tracking inventory APIs for price drops is fantastic!
