really need to lock down a 6090 or maybe the top-end radeon card this black friday because i have a huge video contract starting early december and my current card is dying. i have about $1850 max to spend and im stuck between trying to snipe a deal on newegg or just driving 3 hours to micro center. my logic was that micro center usually has the best bundles but i dont know if i can handle the lines or if itll even be cheaper this year. i keep hearing rumors about massive 2026 price cuts on flagships right before the 27th though. do you guys think the online drops are gonna be impossible to get or should i just commit to the drive?
Honestly, $1850 is probably not gonna cut it for a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 6090 32GB flagship. Those rumors about massive price cuts always end up being a disappointment. Online drops are just bot wars now, and Micro Center stock is rarely worth the long drive. I wouldnt risk it. You're better off hunting a ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 8900 XTX 24GB on sale instead.
dude you gotta look at the open-box sections! seriously i have scored amazing deals that way. if youre worried about that $1850 cap which is super tight for a brand new flagship definitely keep an eye on the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 6080 Ti 20GB or even look for a returned NVIDIA GeForce RTX 6090 Founders Edition 32GB at a local shop. most people forget about the smaller retailers too! everyone swarms the big sites but places like adorama or even some smaller regional tech shops can have fantastic flash sales without the crazy bot competition. if you really want that flagship power for your video contract maybe grab a slightly lower tier and just push it hard? itll save you hundreds and honestly the performance gap usually isnt worth the extra $500. plus you wont have to deal with those insane lines lol. just stay glued to those refresh buttons starting the monday before black friday... things go fast but its totally doable!
honestly, i had a bad experience with these massive price cuts before. i drove halfway across the state for my current setup and the flagship was actually more expensive than online. it was super depressing. definitely check out some tools instead of wasting gas:
