im finally gonna try building my first gaming pc!! i really want to play those big open world games but my current laptop is basically a potato. i keep seeing people talk about rtx cards but they look so expensive and im honestly a bit lost with all the numbers. i live in chicago and want to save up about 800 dollars for everything by next november but i have no clue which stores are actually good for sales. i dont want to get ripped off since i dont know what im doing yet. sorry if this is a dumb question but which retailers usually have the best black friday deals for those gpus in 2026?

Honestly, since you live in Chicago, you gotta hit Micro Center. In my experience, their in-store bundles are the only way to stay under 800 for a full build. Building for years has taught me those combos save enough cash to actually afford a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6. I once saved nearly 200 bucks just by going to the Elston store instead of buying parts online. You wont regret it.
