Torn between a 5080 or 5070 Ti for a 4K build. My logic was that maybe prices finally tank by Black Friday 2026, but my budget is strictly $850 and Nvidia is stingy. Do you think we'll see actual discounts by then or should I just buy sooner...

Nvidia is unfortunately super stingy with price cuts. You wont find a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB for 850 even then... better off grabbing an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB for 4K.
