im finally building my first pc and i am SO excited but honestly i have no clue what im doing lol. sorry if this is super basic but i heard amd radeon is the way to go for value and i want to be ready for cyber monday 2026. i know its a way off but im saving my pennies now. i mostly want to play stuff like minecraft and maybe some newer games if they look pretty.
which stores usually have the biggest drops? i dont want to get ripped off by some random site i never heard of...
Unfortunately, retailers like Amazon have been disappointing lately with fake markdowns. For a 450 dollar budget, Microcenter is usually your best bet for actual stock.
^ This. Also, B&H is a decent option. I once snagged a PowerColor Hellhound Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB there when everywhere else was sold out; it works well for 1440p gaming.
> i live near a microcenter but idk if they do better deals than like amazon or best buy ^ This. Honestly, I am in the exact same situation and it is driving me crazy. I have been trying to cross-reference past Cyber Monday spreadsheets for weeks to prepare for my 2026 build, but the data is so inconsistent. It is really frustrating that there is no clear consensus on which retailer actually offers the best value for AMD cards yet. I still have no clue what to do.
