You guys think Radeon cards are gonna actually tank in price for Black Friday 2026 or should I just buy sooner? I'm over here in Oregon trying to build a dedicated 4K sim racing rig for my basement and my budget is strictly under $600 for the GPU. I've been reading some rumors on tech blogs about the RDNA 4 and maybe RDNA 5 release cycles, and some people say AMD usually gets aggressive with discounts once the new gen is fully out, but then I saw a video saying inventory might be super tight by then because they're pivoting more to AI chips. It's confusing as hell. I dont want to wait two years just to save like fifty bucks if the stock is gonna be gone anyway...
Unfortunately waiting until 2026 is a trap. Stock usually vanishes before those deep discounts ever hit. Id just grab a Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16GB GDDR6 now and start racing.
I've been down this rabbit hole before. Back when I was building my first VR cockpit, I waited almost a year for a specific clearance sale on the previous gen. Ended up missing the boat because the stock just evaporated before the price hit my target. Manufacturers dont really do big clearance events anymore; they just stop production and let the secondary market take over. For 4K sim racing, the frame buffer and memory bus are everything. You need that raw bandwidth to push all those pixels without micro-stuttering during high-speed turns. Specs to watch:
honestly waiting until 2026 is a gamble since amds pivoting hard to ai. for 4k sims you need that 256-bit memory bus and high vram anyway. the PowerColor Hellhound Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16GB GDDR6 is sitting right around 550 and gets you great rasterization. rdna 4 might improve ray tracing but raw 4k performance wont likely double at that price point. better to build now imo.
