Best retailers for 2026 Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on graphics cards?

So I've been building my own rigs since the GTX 900 series days and I usually have a solid handle on when to pull the trigger but looking ahead to 2026 is making me super nervous. I'm planning this major overhaul for late next year and my logic was that by Black Friday 2026 we should see some actual decent movement on the mid-to-high end cards maybe even some clearance on the current flagship stuff but the market is so weird lately. Like I'm worried if I wait for the Cyber Monday drops I'll just get stuck with out of stock notices again like during the shortage years. I have about a $950 budget set aside specifically for the GPU because I need to handle 4K video editing and some heavy sim racing stuff. My local Micro Center is usually my go-to but I've noticed their online deals have been kinda weak compared to B&H or even some random Best Buy drops. I'm basically torn between camping out a physical store or just macro-refreshing Newegg at midnight. Does anyone actually think the big retailers are gonna have real inventory in late 2026 or am I just setting myself up for disappointment by waiting that long to upgrade my current 3080? I just don't want to get price gouged by third party sellers on Amazon again...

Building on the earlier suggestion, I am totally pumped for those 2026 drops! Newegg is usually amazing for bundles, but B&H is fantastic for speed.

Newegg: Awesome for snagging a ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB on clearance, tho returns are a pain.

B&H: Tax savings are huge, I love it! Just mind their weird hours. Quick question tho, are you running triple 4K screens or VR? That changes everything!

To add to the point above: unfortunately, Micro Center deals have been pretty lackluster lately. I had issues with their member pricing not really saving much after the commute.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition: Grab this at Best Buy if you can handle their buggy queue system.

ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 Super Trinity OC: Decent clearance potential but cooling isnt as good as expected. Id skip the hype and just watch Best Buy drops.

If you want to maximize that $950 budget, you should target the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 or look for a deep discount on a ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 Trinity OC 24GB GDDR6X if retailers are clearing shelf space. B&H is super reliable for editors because their shipping is solid and they handle high-value electronics better than Amazon. Newegg is decent but their return policy is a headache. If you're doing heavy sim racing, you really need that high VRAM buffer. The jump from your 3080 to a 50-series card will be massive for 4K timelines... just make sure your PSU can handle the power draw.
